An inflator-regulator combines a backup regulator with a BCD’s buoyancy control system in one compact unit. In the event of an emergency you pass your primary regulator to the diver in need while you take the inflator-regulator, enabling you to breathe easily and control your buoyancy as you make your way safely back to the surface.
