Here at Get Wet Waikato we run dive trips for all levels of experience.

As the longest standing Dive shop in Hamilton going back over 20 years we have a reputation for having only the highest standards when it comes to diver training and development. Our instructors pride themselves on making everyone into safe confident divers, while having lots of fun and laughs along the way. We train all levels of divers from try scuba, open water, advanced, all the way to Dive leader programs.

With all the top quality equipment needed supplied from our large gear rental locker, to the on site heated pool and interactive classroom we will make your learning process a blast.

I signed up to do the dive course with my partner as he had no buddy to go with him, I had no idea if I would like diving as I have a fear of sharks! ..But Im all for adventures so thought I would give it a go cause life is to short not to try new things. The online course was easy to follow and had helpful videos to watch. We got to do all the tests in the big pool first and then in the ocean. I was surprisingly not even scared of the thought of sharks and this magical feeling of just being under the water, the silence and excitement was overwhelming. I was hooked! Now my partner and I go scallop and Cray diving whenever we get the chance I have been out on at least 15 more dives since the course and have caught a few crays and heaps of scallops. The guys at Get Wet are awesome, always there to help I would highly recommend these guys!

I got my dive ticket with GetWet last August. My main instructor was Gav and I was really impressed by his skills. He made me and the others on my course feel really safe and made sure we were comfortable in the water. I found Gav to be professional, friendly and above all else... just really good at what he does. Heading to Whitianga for the practical was my highlight - actually learning to dive out in the ocean is a daunting and surreal experience - and I don't know if the others and myself would have had the confidence to persist with it had Gav not been there. Altogether, I have been blown away at the level of service GetWet and Gav provided and have loved the whole experience.

Whether you are just starting out your diving journey or you’re an experienced diver, Get Wet Waikato is the place to go. I recently sat my open water course and was very impressed with how knowledgeable, engaging and thorough the facilitators were. I was always made to feel comfortable and confident in the water and am now a regular diver thanks to the Get Wet crew.

Before diving with Get Wet Waikato please look at our UNDERSTANDING THE RISKS FORM, which is required to be completed before joining any of our courses and trips. If you are doing any of our dive courses including Try Dives or Refreshers, please fill in the MEDICAL FORM, and if required, get medical clearance from your GP or a designated dive doctor.
